Jolly phonics is an excellent synthetic phonics program to teach reading, but this video is extremely old and not at all entertaining to today's children. It teaches your child the phonetic sound of each letter and set of letter blends, which is vital for learning to read. They love the characters and enjoy finding things on the page or wiggling their fingers whenever they think they have heard the sound.

This DVD is great for little ones, colourful and easy to follow can be watched in little chunks when attention span is limited. An excellent story book that really gets the children understanding and joining in with the phonic sounds.
