About this deal
Kudos so such a thought provoking book Just reading this book makes me want to contact him and give him a big hug. I also kept waiting to find out what caused Arnold to be so abusive, when both his brothers seemed well-balanced and normal, and why they didn't have children of their own.
That it went horribly wrong should have come as no surprise to it's drafters and schemers, it had all the hallmarks for a disastrous outcome. She holds regular vigils in his undisturbed bedroom, visits his grave, and meets with a support group for parents who lost their children to accidents, though her husband, Jim, wants to move on.However, despite him revealing himself as an alien and almost succeeding by stealing the memory of Sam's birth, Telly can still remember her son, and he is whisked away by an unseen force, presumably to face the consequences of failure.
A beautiful, touching scene to end with, bringing a life time of not knowing his beginnings to a rightful conclusion. Perhaps you see them with their silent child by the hand, a hidden sadness in his eyes as they take him to school or after school activities. That being said, due to the great detail of the author I just have to put it down during some of this descriptive abuse scenes.I left school at 15, got a job in Birmingham, saved a little bit of money and found and moved into a bedsit at the top of a house in Acocks Green.
