I get that this is a Nerf game that’s probably designed for kids, but if stuff like Minecraft and Roblox are any indication, it’s hard to imagine any child who can hold a controller finding these puzzles even remotely compelling.Unfortunately, if you choose not to heal to avoid the beep, you get the heartbeat sound, so you can choose between your preferred version of hell. Players can hone their skills, then take the battle online with 4v4 team competitions and eight player free-for-all matches.

It’s disappointing to see a concept with so much potential to be an entertaining, lighthearted FPS squander it so entirely with a broken, harrowing cash grab, but even masochists looking for something to heckle should steer clear of this mess. Movement feels sluggish and unresponsive, most of the blasters feel sorely underpowered, and things as straightforward as precision aiming are also sketchy at best. Single-Player campaign featuring 10 different enemy robot types and 5 boss battles across a series of intense challenges. There was a time in the early 2000s when you could reach into the bottom of a cereal box and occasionally pull out an entertainingly bad, low budget video game.And worst of all: every single time you pick up a healing item, which happens constantly, you hear a loud beeping noise no fewer than four times. Armed with a wide array of Nerf blasters, you’ll thwart formidable enemies while being challenged to pull off the most impressive high-flying trick shots.

Players are little more than bland, blank slate avatars meant to run around and shoot robots or other players with NERF blasters.
