About this deal

This is going to be a staple in my makeup bag over the following months, I need to keep my makeup looking pristine for all the Christmas parties and New Year Celebrations that are coming up, and this will do just the trick! The formula is a clear liquid and I have no idea how it works, but it seals the lipstick in place so even after eating it’s still as bright. com/make-up/face/make-up-setting-spray-sealer/lipcote-original-lock-lasting-lipstick-sealer-7ml/p/20966" on this server. on contrary to many reviews i've read about this product, i don't find it has a strong chemical smell or if it stings that bad.

Lipcote

Simply apply Lipstick colour of your choice, blot lip colour and use Lipcote over your lipstick for a quick drying seal which fixes colour for long lasting, fade and transfer resistant results. I did wait the first time I tried it, but I guess I didn't let it "cure" before making mouth movements to test it out. I'm wondering if i maybe got a dud bottle because everyone else loves it and im so desperately relying on it working for the christmas going out period ha! Alcochol denat, Butyl stearate, Ethylcellulose, Isopropyl alcochol, Shellac, Colophonium, Styrax benzoin gum Aqua (water) parfum (fragrance), Benzyl alcochol, Benzyl salicylate, Cinnamyl alcochol, Cinnamal, Hexyl cinnamal, Hydroxycitronellal. The French brand with cult products like Healthy Mix Foundation and those little round pot blushers had become a staple in our make-up bags. The only fault i can find is that it can make your lips have a 'sticky' feel when it's dry; however i kinda add abit of light lip balm or gloss. Normal lipstick just seems to fade all over, but with Lipcote you end up with a dark ring of lipstick that looks worse than if it had all faded! The liquid does smell a lot like alcohol and it does tingle once you brush it on to your lips, but it really does the job. So there we have it – proof that Lipcote seals in your lippie allowing you to enjoy your day and not have to worrying about fading or re-applying! Doesn't smell great or feel great however this is only temporary it doesn't feel/smell like this all day!

love love love the lippy colours you created too, especially the darker shade… im a goff at heart, love dark vampy lip shades! As you must surely be aware, we are in the midst of a ‘90s/’00s revival and that just doesn’t include the trends we loved back in the day, it includes the products we loved too. on animals and made with all natural ingredients, formulated in partnership with The Green Chemist Consultancy. Hey katie, I dont know if you found the same but I bought some and after say an hour or so it just started to peel away in great lumps! These colourful glosses had us in a chokehold regardless of the fact that no matter their colour they all came out clear. The problem with Lipcote is is preserves the lipstick on the outer edges of your lips much better than in the centre. Like a sponge it absorbed any moisture from our lips on immediate application, but at least it meant our beloved lipstick stayed intact all day. It smells awful and tastes it too but it holds the lipstick for ages and is perfect for evenings out where you haven't got the luxury of re-applying.

Lipcote Original Lock Lasting Lipstick Sealer 7ml - Superdrug

This became the most perfect opportunity for me to apply my newly created customized shade and Lipcote, to test out its staying powers! Things might be different now, but back in the day if we were caught wearing make-up at school it was straight to the B Block toilets to wash it off with wet toilet roll.Thankfully Miss Sporty’s Clear Mascara allowed us to trick not only ourselves (it did literally nothing), but also our teachers. The smell of toxic chemical and a strong burning sensation on the lips, I wish I'd read the reviews here before booking.

To celebrate this joyous occasion, we decided to take a look back at the other ‘90s relics that filled our coming-of-age make-up bags.

I’ve known about Lipcote for a long time now and I swear by it for special occasions and when I need my lippie to stay on all day. Thankfully, for their 20th anniversary Lancome re-released them, so you can relive year 8 all over again. Now I’ve had a lot of fun with this post, mixing up lip colours to create my perfect sahdes and I’ve been using Lipcote with all of them to test their longevity. After applying it, do not talk or move your mouth too much for about 3 minutes afterwards, I’ve found that it does slightly peel if you do starting talking and making big mouth movements immediately after applying it.
