When I did my first Corsair cooler review I was having a hard time finding it's product page because there were so many similarly named modelsI assume most review items are given to you by the companies? Mounting the iCUE H100i RGB PRO XT is an identical process to any recent CORSAIR liquid cooler, and I won’t cover the process step-by-step here. The Hydro Series H100i v2 is an extreme performance, all-in-one liquid CPU cooler for cases with 240mm radiator mounts. This doesn't have much in the way of data, but it does have a lot of real world pictures, not promo shots. Beyond improved iCUE software-powered RGB lighting customization, enabled via 16 individually-addressable RGB LEDs on the pump head, CORSAIR’s PRO XT liquid cooler lineup ( introduced at this year’s CES) offers their “best performing liquid cooler yet” in the H150i RGB PRO XT – though we are going to focus on the 240 mm version here today.

The fan installation can be done in multiple ways, but by default we would recommend having the fans mounted on the bottom of the unit exhausting air up through the radiator towards the outside of the case.I was pleasantly surprised to see my motherboard’s RGB options detected by the software, allowing easy control over all system RGB functions.

At idle the coolant will come off the CPU/GPU and pass through the bottom radiator, then it gets "re-heated" as it goes through the second radiator at the top. You can see in the picture below that all four double sided mounting bolts have been screwed in directly to the standard LGA 2011 socket. For this Intel system, once the metal backplate, standoffs, and pump/block were attached it was a simple matter to connect the attached fan and SATA power cables and begin testing.

First, it’s a good idea to lay out your components and make sure you have everything you will need for your particular CPU socket. And, as these are the same fans, it is possible to reach the lofty load noise of the A500 if the speeds are cranked up close to 100% (we actually recorded a slightly higher ~50-51 dBA at full manual speed with the iCUE H100i RGB PRO XT). I removed the connection of the pump to the commander and went straight to USB header on MB and it worked.If I get bored waiting I might just plug the other two fans into the pump controller and see what happens.
