I know it is unlikely CPU instability to be cased by using PBO alone, but who knows, maybe I just had the "luck" to get my hands on the worst silicon used in a Ryzen 5 3600 chip on the planet. Want to start test out dram calculator but if thaiphoon burner is showing the wrong info I don't want to tinker with it yet, want to be sure what it really is. The DDR4 form factor is optimized for the latest DDR4 systems and offers higher frequencies, greater bandwidth, and lower power consumption than DDR3 modules.

I suspect Ryzenmaster is correct since it was made by AMD and it is right on the other numbers it sees. While they do run just fine on XMP settings, they don't seem to be willing to go a single step beyond that.I have just tested for a couple of days but my impression is that when XMP is off and memory is at 2133Mhz it is stable but I would need further testing.

This was me and I wanted to share my experience too, since the problem seems to more widespread than just me. I suspected this was to do with overvolting of RAM or SOC initially when I faced many BSOD's (more than 2 per day), as I realised my BIOS VDDG and VDDP was higher than normal (1100 and 1000) when comparing to the Ryzen DRAM calculator 'Safe' values which were recommended at 900. After replacing the RAM kit I still had the same random BSOD's, then I changed the CPU from the 3700x to a 3900x and have since had no issues with default bios and XMP settings.I did try to set the mem speed to 2666Mhz since that is the official limit for Coffee Lake CPU's but it crashed there as well.

Import the file in DRAM calculator and then, when you copy the values in the BIOS, choose the alternative values for tRFC (432) and tWRRD (3). As I said, just use the export option in Thaiphoon and make a html page of the full results of the read. Are you trying to manually set your memory timings because current BIOS does not support XMP at 3200MHz?

ram (different model, size, and dual rank) and found it didn't like tRC timings (and some lower tRFC) out of the box and were a bit problematic to get working. For example, when I only started PC with RAM in black slots, it rebooted 5 times and booted in fail-safe mode, so I could disable the XMP profile. Generally I don't starting trimming timings until after I have stabilized the target frequency I'm reaching for because a really bad or problematic timing might prevent POST.
