Ich glaube, dass ich noch nie eine Weihnachtsgeschichte selbst gelesen habe und ich bin mir auch nicht emhr sicher, ob meine Eltern mir früher eine Weihnachtsgeschichte vorgelesen haben. Ich vermute, dass sie das getan haben, ich es aber vergessen habe. Eins weiß ich aber bestimmt: Wenn es damals die Geschichte Der Weihnachtosaurus von Tom Fletcher schon gegeben hätte, dann hätte ich darauf bestanden, dass mir meine Eltern aus dieser Geschichte jeden Abend zur Weihnachtszeit vorgelesen hätten und das jedes Jahr wieder. Eine absolut traumhafte Weihnachtsgeschichte für Jung und Alt! Doch ist das Kinderbuch Der Weihnachtosaurus viel mehr als nur eine kleine aber feine Weihnachtsgeschichte, wo ein kleiner Junge bekommt, was er will. Wie man am oben eingefügten Zitat erkennen kann, geht es viel mehr um das Kind sein, den Glauben an Weihnachten und die Phantasie der Kindheit und darum, diese zu bewahren. Bei "Der Weihnachtosaurus" handelt es sich um eine wunderschöne Weihnachtsgeschichte zum dahinschmelzen. Am Nordpol finden die Wichtel ein Dinoei, aus dem der Weihnachtosaurus schlüpft. Dieser lebt fortan am Nordpol 😄. Nachdem er allerdings der einzige seiner Art ist und sich sehr nutzlos vorkommt, ist er sehr einsam... Hin und wieder und besonders in der Weihnachtszeit lese ich gerne mal Kinderbücher. Sie sind häufig viel herzlicher als Bücher für Erwachsene und die Botschaften dahinter, haben auch eine wichtige Bedeutung. Allerdings gelingt es Tom Fletcher hingegen nicht, mit allen Charakteren zu überzeugen. Vor allem die Gegenspieler von William und dem Weihnachtsmann, der Jäger und Brenda Pein, wirken stark konstruiert und vor allem sind diese so abgrundtief böse, dass es unglaubwürdig wird. Klar, es geht um eine Geschichte, wo es um den Weihnachtsmann und Dinosaurier geht, aber kein 10 jähriges Mädchen ist so von Hass durchtrieben wie Brenda Pein. Think of some questions that you would like to ask William and Brenda following the events in Chapter Seven. How might they respond?

Then when I'd feel like, hm maybe this isn't a read for my kids, I'd see more of those illustrations and then more of what it all should have been. Which, is the bond created between William Trundle and Christmasaurus. If anything, those parts made the read as magical as I'd hope for. A definite must for a dinosaur having been raised in the north pole. Not only that, but the friendships created in here.There was a verse in this novel sung by the elves, which talked about having to keep digging for toys, even if their fingers went numb. Like what? Um, no, no you don't. It's not the only time the elves were portrayed this way and that was a sad thing to read and visualize. On that note, Santa was not always the best for them either, having a mentality that elves are there for only the sole purpose of doing those kind of jobs, without concern for their own personal welfare.
