Having been a Tolkien megafan in my school years i can't just not play this game. More time in the oven also hopefully means the game will be better optimized, either way i'm excited! As a huge LOTR fan I'm very excited for this but just hope they get it right. One of my other most wanted games this year hasn't impressed (Resident Evil 4 Remake) but I'm hoping this will. Fingers crossed.

As for Gollum, the studio previously apologised around the time of game's next-gen release for being an "underwhelming" experience. It's unclear at this stage how exactly the game will be supported going forward, and it's also been a while since it mentioned the Switch version. Apparently though, the game is coming "later" in 2023. SwitchVogel Well Gollum's (known by his original name Smeagol) story is both tragic and very interesting when done right. The last one I can honestly remember, that transcended age, race or even preference - was Pharrell's 'Happy'. I'm going to put myself in the cautiously optimistic category, for this one, and if it is a great game I am definitely going to buy it on a more powerful console. In the same interview, Daedalic confirmed that current-gen versions of The Lord of the Rings Gollum will put ray tracing front and center as a graphical feature. The developer has hinted that ray tracing could be used dynamically in the game’s level design.I don't know much about this game's development history, but I really hope this isn't one of those stories like "Well, we forced them to crunch, didn't give them enough time to make the game right and the game ended up broken and selling poorly. Clearly they can't make games and we should disband the studio!".
