About this deal

Five speedy Pteraxii, five stealthy Ruststalkers, and three Serberys Raiders make up the core of this battleforce, supported by the Ironstrider Ballistarii’s powerful cognis lascannons. Behind them marches a unit of 10 Skitarii Rangers and their Tech-priest Manipulus commander, ready to examine whatever it is that the Talon has recovered. In the Psychic phase he may manifest 2 powers and deny 1. He knows Smite and two other powers from the Contagion Discipline. As if that weren’t enough, Pestilential Fallout lets him hand out a mortal wound on Psychic tests of 7+. More blessings from Grandfather! Death Guard Sorcerer in Terminator Armor Add extra support to your Escher gang with the Shivver and Apprentice Clan Chymist , a pair of gang-specific resin Hangers-on. The Shivver can see into the future and predict great glory for your gang members. Chymists, on the other hand, reduce the cost of Chem-Alchemy Elixirs and may even turn deceased Matriarchs and Gang Queens into Death Maidens . Necromunda: Gorshiv Hammerfist

While those of you in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand can start collecting your bone tithe right now, this box will be dropping a little later for the rest of the world. Field the might of the Emperor’s chosen champions and overwhelm your opponent with sheer force. This box contains a Storm Speeder and 29 Primaris Space Marines, with a Captain, Bladeguard Veterans, and a ton of Intercessors – including regular, Heavy, and Assault varieties! Death Guard Battleforce: Plaguefester Warband Anyone who had nuns in big metal jumpsuits on their Christmas bingo card is going to be rubbing their hands with glee at the Sanctorum Guard battleforce, which contains 23 saintly miniatures. Morven Vahl spearheads a cohort of six Paragon Warsuits, while a complement of Celestian Sacresants and a Battle Sister squad give you more zealots than you can shake a brazier at. The Knights box is a little more flexible and a pretty good buy, as the models are generic enough to want multiples. Battleforce: Thousand Sons – Court of The Crimson King The Warhammer 40,000 design studio discuss the ever-shifting balance of power in the 41st Millennium.

The first Chaos box has a good assort of Thousand Sons models, and it’s even led by Magnus! That means it’s fantastic for new players but maybe a little harder to justify for someone who already owns Magnus. Battleforce: Death Guard – Council of The Death Lord

Category Miniatures Tags Chaos Space Marines, Death Guard, Games Workshop, Set, Warhammer, Warhammer: 40k SKU GWS-99120102160 Availability Close combat loadout is an interesting choice since maces deal 3 damage and flails are perfect crowd killers. The problem is that it’s still quite expensive and wielded by single wound models. Half of them won’t even reach close combat. If you are playing against shooting army – don’t even think about it. But if your enemy doesn’t mind to fight hand to hand, you may add here your Plague Surgeon, Tallyman to grant re-rolls and a Plaguecaster to increase toughness, strength and a chance to wound the enemy. Such old school death star can destroy a lot of units. If it manages to come to close combat. The main thing – take 7 plague marines. You critically need 2 guys with maces, 2 with flails, and a sergeant. So, the other 2 can be sacrificed with no regret. There’s no use to take 10, since you need space for the characters. Unfortunately, there’s only one mace and flail in the set, so’ you’ll have to find extra ones somewhere else. If you’re only interested in receiving the newest games this is the box for you; guaranteeing only the latest games! Buy New Releases Box »If you haven’t already, this is a fantastic time to explore the new edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar. Four giant Battleforces thunder onto the scene this year to either expand your existing army or to help you take the plunge into the Era of the Beast. Death Guard - The Outpost Death Guard - The Outpost

Magnus the Red is the 41st Millenium’s premiere big scarlet-skinned chap, at least until his very angry brother turns up. Joining him are 23 of his sons – 20 dusty Rubric Marines and three Exalted Sorcerers living their best arcane life. Battleforce: Death Guard – Council of The Death LordThe Christmas Battleforces are here, accompanied by a Rohan Stronghold in a box, and one very swish looking Praetor for The Horus Heresy. Normally, one would not expect to find a Lord of War leading an army. But the Death Guard don’t have a Baneblade, Knight, or Gorkanaut. For our final stop of the Death Guard HQ tour, let’s deal with a Primarch. Mortarion A favourite treat of the Adepta Sororitas, when they aren’t praying, purging, training, or praying.

Battleforce a good starting point for Death Guard? Is the new Battleforce a good starting point for Death Guard?

The drone undoubtfully gets Plaguespitters. This is a great vehicle that can fly far, advance, and then hit the target automatically with flamers. It’s quite durable and enemies don’t pay much attention to them, so it can go behind the enemy line, clear objectives and destroy small enemy units. These cranky killing machines are off to reclaim the galaxy by force, and this box comes with more than enough firepower to do just that, with Lokhust Heavy Destroyers and Canoptek Doomstalkers. You will also get a Psychomancer, a squad of Necron Warriors, and melee support in the form of Flayed Ones and Ophydian Destroyers. Adeptus Mechanicus Battleforce: Omnissiah’s Talon The definitive Lord of the Death Guard, Typhus comes with a variety of powers highlighting his power and lore. As the Herald of Nurgle, he may find his way into any Plague Company. However, only with the Harbingers will he carry a contagion. With his Vector of Disease adding 3 inches to their range you’ll want him to have that contagion. Likewise, the Master of the Dead Who Walk aura adds to the effectiveness of Poxwalkers and combines effectively with The Wrathful Dead company stratagem. Our next section takes us away from the power driven Lords of the Death Guard. Now we get to add some warp spawned madness to list with a pair of psychers to fill the rest of our Death Guard HQ slots. Malignant Plaguecaster It may seem strange, but there’s no commander for this army. Plague Surgeon dwells in the Elite slot, and, honestly, is one of the weakest characters in the army. So, think about someone to lead your army. Probably, a part of Dark Imperium starter is a good idea. It’s cheap and gives you one more Drone with useful wargear, 2 (or 1) squads of extremely required Poxwalkers, enough to fill 2 extra troops slots for a batallion detachment, Plague marines for conversions and alternative use, and Malignant Plaguecaster. This guy must be in your roster because there are many useful spells in this codex. He can both support close combat units or cover those who are left behind. Starter lord is totally useless – he does all the things that Typhus can but has no psychic powers and special abilities. Considering the minimal price difference, it’s better to buy Typhus. The miniature is awesome, by the way. It’s hard enough to be stealthy when you’re a nine-foot tall super soldier, but how about the challenge of going covert with not one but two Invictor Tactical Warsuits? If anyone would know how to pull that off, it’s Raven Guard Chapter Master Kayvaan Shrike, who also leads a squad of Reivers, a trio of Eliminators, and a Phobos-armoured Librarian for a total of 17 miniatures ready for an ambush. This choice takes the Chaos Lord above and plops him into a set of Terminator armor. While your weapon selections are more limited, you do have some good melee options with a chainfist, power fist, or even twin lightning claws. Overwhelm your opponent with the explosive might of the Space Marines. This is a Battleforce that hits hard and fast thanks to a Storm Speeder and 29 Primaris Space Marines, including some fairly chunky Gravis-armoured battle brothers.
