About this deal

Thin down Citadel Druchii Violet with Citadel Lahmian Medium 1:4 (1 part shade to 4 parts medium), and add a drop or two of water too. Cover the Wraithbone primer (which should just be the skin at this point) and the recesses of the silver areas. I saved some of this mixture in an empty pot for other projects, much like my Nurgle flesh wash. Question remains, which is my favourite range of all? I’d say I still prefer Contrast, as they are the most richly pigmented paints, and have a good selection of colours. I wasn’t a fan of the original Speedpaints’ reactivation, but now that the 2.0 formula made the paints more stable, I found I use them more often, as the range offers a lot of choice. Xpress Colors’ slightly lower pigmentation limits their use a little bit, but they have some really nice colours and work well in combination with preshading, for example Slapchop or a zenithal basecoat. Instant Colors are the most different from all the others as they use opaque pigments, you can create some nice effects with them but I’ll only use them rarely. Another layer, adding more Pallid Wych Flesh focussed on the sharpest edges and most raised surfaces. Blue/Grey Cloth: – Base with Dark Reaper. – Wash with Coelia Greenshade. – Highlight with Dark Reaper. – Edge Highlight with Thunderhawk Blue. Today I’m sitting down with a Seeker of Slaanesh, the incarnation of the Dark Prince’s free spirit, which as it turns out is a lizard horse hybrid because of reasons.

Launched in 2019, the Contrast range revolutionised miniatures painting. Now, the new colours span the entire spectrum, from eye-searing emeralds and yellows, to fiery reds and bold blues. We’re really spoilt for choice! To give us a hand exploring the new range, we asked Warhammer TV painting presenter Emma Robinson to provide us with ideas for using some of the new colours. Cultivate your own collection of horrors from beyond the galaxy with this Termagants and Ripper Swarm + Paints set. It contains three push-fit Termagants and a Ripper Swarm, a Citadel starter brush, and five paints – Corax White, Wraithbone, Naggaroth Night, Thunderhawk Blue, Magos Purple, and Armageddon Dust. Warhammer 40,000 Paints + Tools Set The new Arcus Battleline Maniple is also interesting, letting you bring a Warbringer-Nemesis, a Reaver, and a Warhound to the fight. It also gives the Warhound a defined battlefield role as a spotter for the Warbringer, allowing you to bring a quake or volcano cannon to bear even if your chosen prey is able to hide completely out of sight. There’s also something to be said for the Ruptura even though there’s no Warhound to sub out – the maniple trait’s free boosted move each turn takes the edge off of not having access to Motive Subreactors, and the bonus move if one of your Warbringers kills something is all upside. In either case, we think you’re probably better off with a maniple that lets you bring a Warlord, but we’re excited to see what players will do with these new tools. The bell is much the same process, though I’ll hit this with Typhus Corrosion as well to give it an aged patina. Call of Chaos by Rob Sanders follows a Slaaneshi warlord through an encounter with the Stormcast Eternals.

Prime everything in Citadel Wraithbone (I used the rattle can, but (air)brushing it on would probably be fine too). Step 1: Base coats Dark Imperium and Plague War by Guy Haley. These books focus on Guilliman’s battles against the Death Guard and Mortarion’s forces, but also feature several notable daemons, including Ku’Gath Plaguefather.White Armour: – Wash with Apothecary White, keep an eye out for pooling in the crevices and draw it away before it sets too much. – Soft Drybrush VGC Ghost Grey with a round-tipped makeup brush. – Edge Highlight the most raised parts of the armour with White Scar. Cult of the Warmason by CL Werner is primarily about the Sisters of Battle going up against a Genestealer Cults infestation on the shrine world of Lubentina. I drybrush that over the flesh of the sores. I’m also going to use Bugman’s Glow to paint all of the tentacle bits coming out of the Great Unclean One’s body in various spots. I’ll highlight the raw muscle with Bugman’s Glow as well.
