About this deal

Eloise will always be my favorite Eden. No debate needed here, since her first appearance on the first book in the series I knew l would fall in love with her own love story. She was the epitome of kindness with such a pure soul and tender heart but at the same time could get so protective and fierce towards the people she cares about. Her character was absolutely everything I love in a female mc.

The Edens are definitely my favorite small town family — I love every literary trip to Quincy I take! I feel like this might not be the most popular opinion, but prior to Jasper Vale coming out, my favorite of the leading men was Foster. I LOVE a fighter and an underdog and my god did he put together a good grovel. That’s not to say Knox isn’t the supreme single-mom lover, and that Griffin isn’t the hottest Montana cowboy, but that’s what I love about Devney’s guys — they are all fantastic! With that said, Jasper… oh Jasper, he has taken the top spot for me. He is perfection. Quiet, a little grumpy, but ALWAYS in Eloise’s corner. eloise and jasper were BORING. i didn’t believe or feel any chemistry between them at all. in the previous books eloise was so cute & mouthy. she felt so watered down, and completely detached from this story. it honestly was more about jasper and his ex then anything else! he was so selfish at times, and it made me mad.Jasper was an interesting character to say the least. Even if his dynamic and missed-up relationship with his ex-wife triggered me a little, ngl. I absolutely adored his persona and how he treated Eloise. Faking it or not he was just perfect . I really enjoyed learning about his past and his family along the way with Eloise, the more he confided the more I was choked but the bond between the two of them solidified the more Jasper opened up. Both of them needed each other, they complemented each other. He needed a compagne that he could trust blindly and she needed someone who could pull her out of her confort zone but also accept her with her tender heart. I did listen to this on audible, and if you are an audible girl, I guarantee you... JASON'S VOICE FOR GRIFFING ruined me. Both narrators on this did such an amazing job. I believe half of my rating for this at this moment is because of how amazing the narration for this book was, of course the good writing also had a role in it. One thing that did bug me though was Eloise's parents. I understand that they didn't want her to be taken advantage of by others, but I definitely agreed with Jasper about how they treated her. Whilst they may not have been doing it deliberately, it clearly affected Eloise enough to make her feel like she wasn't enough and even though Jasper might not have expressed it in the best way every-time, it was sweet to see him trying to be on her side. also, the plot twist at the end .. absolutely uncalled for??? it turned so dark and grim for No reason whatsoever. it really felt like the author knew the ex scene was boring so she had to throw something in. it felt copied from the first two books, and just deeply unsettled me.

Her focus was on settling down in a new place and building a positive relationship with the other officers.there were definitely some scenes, especially in the beginning, where i was digging the whole “fake but real marriage” trope and the “fake married but friend’s with benefits”. it garnered some hot lines— although no one could possibly surpass foster’s record as an asshole, jasper is a distant second. NO WONDER THEY’RE BESTIES 🚮🚮🚮 Book 1 follows Winslow & Griffin after a one night stand on the first night Winslow moves to Quincy, Montana. Neither of them are looking for a relationship, but the two of them can’t stay away or keep their hands off each other. Not only is the romance of this book a favorite, I also live for suspense plots and mortal peril, which Devney does so well. Therefore, I am rating Indigo Ridge with 4.5 STARS because I found it to be a very good start to a series that is looking amaaaaazing and I cannot wait to read whatever is next. I loved Griffin as a hero and Winn as a heroine, both strong and vulnerable with each other at the same time. This series has a great list of characters and I am sure every single one will get the story they deserve. Devney Perry is one of my go-to authors and I am sure she will be for a long time. I loved the start to this series and I am impatiently waiting for Knox’s story now! Heat level: Alright. They have some tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.
