The Not so Great and Everything in Between: Sigh. This is a personal bias, so I’m trying to keep my review as objective as possible. Cliffhangers are not my usual cuppa, and I started to feel that it might go that way when it took quite a while for Henry and Abbi to make it to the next level of their relationship. I kept hoping that it wasn’t going to happen...but it was hard to deny when the story started to slow down, even though it got closer and closer to that fateful ending. I felt like this was intended to be a bully romance. But I also feel like usually the h is a little stronger to be able to withstand the H bullying her to love. Abbi was just really too emotional and I thought she was a smart girl but when it came to Henry he brain must have went on an extended vacation. It didn’t make any sense to me. She 100% belongs with Henry though as proven through book 3&4. I love their relationship and connection, their understanding of each other. While it can and does still work to an extent if you enjoy erotica, the romance that brought me to the party is now irrevocably changed. It’s a hard limit for me, and it’s hard for me to get past the way it changed the tone of the whole series for me. These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. In the previous book, Henry receives a phone call that his father is ill, and his health is only going to go downhill from here. Henry and Abbi fly out to New York to prepare for his father’s funeral arrangements. Review for books 1-4: Overall I really enjoyed this series! I listened to it via audible, but it’s also on KU. It’s about a rich guy who owns Wolf Hotels and a young innocent girl who moves to alaska to work at the hotel there for the summer after a bad break up. She’s lived an extremely sheltered life and never had much freedom, so when she starts working closely with “the wolf”, she can’t help but be curious about all the things he could show her. Wolf Bite? Nah. More like The Sexual Awakening of Abigail Mitchell. Henry Wolf is barely in the book, I think he was absent about 30 to 40% of it? Maybe more. So if you were expecting more on plot development and Henry Wolf, I suggest you move on. #spoilersabound #sorryWe all know that Henry’s relationship with his mother has been pretty much nonexistent. She left him, when he was still very young, and for that he will always resent her, understandably so. I can only imagine what that would feel like. But what’s probably worse than that, is seeing your mother after so many years, at your father’s funeral - which is exactly what happens to Henry here. Henry started opening up to Abbi, and showing some emotions about how he yearns for the affection that he did not receive from his mother. He also says that he’s sad that his father passed away, since he was the only family that Henry truly had left (considering Henry doesn’t get along with his brother, Scott).

I’ve finally finished the fourth book in the Wolf Hotels series. I’ve been so busy with these last few weeks of summer holidays coming to an end, so it’s taken me a while to complete this book, but I’m so glad that I’ve finished it now! Abbi grows up so much throughout this story, the sex, education, and even religion that comes out of this story that she has to overcome are so wonderful to read, at times I wish I had her strength. She is so heartbroken during this book but she finds the strength and friendships that she needs to come through them. And when she is free to experience the darker side of her sexual life she knows she has the right people to go through it with. But it’s the fact that’s she chose to shit on religion and other peoples beliefs … yeah let’s not do that. I was very much not correct and very much not disappointed. In this case grabbing the glass to taste Coke when I expected Pepsi turned out to be equally if not more satisfying.

And what was so great about Abbi? EVERY man loved her to distraction, almost immediately, and I didn't get it. Henry was willing to risk his hotel for her about five minutes after meeting her. A few of the books have very little Henry, but a lot of Abbi and a lot of sex. Abbi Mitchell has battled her family and won. She finally has what she wants most—Henry Wolf, committed to her and within arm’s reach most nights. Over all I truly loved this entire story, there was a good amount of angst and issues here and there but they weren’t drug out and distracting. The author even had me, ME, of all people accept Abbi’s mom and their relationship rekindling even after all her bullshit. That is a not a small feat I promise you that.

The story is also filled with a slew of quirky characters and hilarious situations amongst some VERY erotic situations and discoveries.Henrik Wolf is the owner of the new hotel. As famous for being sexy as sin as he is for being a tyrant. He’s cold and closed off which makes his actions towards Abbi that much more confusing and appealing. Book 2 I struggled with because this book was pretty much a turn of events that I didn't quite see coming. It was definitely what I expected to happen when it comes to Abbi because of the relationship she had with Henry. It was all very new to her and there was a lot she needed to learn. I definitely didn't agree with her thought process when it came to her actions. So this was a book you just kind of take for what it is. I saw this book as an ad I think? I can’t remember. Anyway the blurb I got was something like, after catching her fiancé with another women Abbi runs to Alaska and finds herself in the arms of another man, but he’s not who she thinks he is....” DUN DUN DUNNN

The writing was amazing, the story flowed well. There was drama and suspense. There were twist and turns. There was happiness, sadness, angst, sex, sex and more sex. I highly recommended this book especially if you are like me and love the darker side of romance books. This is defiantly not just a sweet novel…but that’s what I loved about it. It was super entertaining and super hot. LOVED LOVED LOVED. CAN I PLEASE GET MORE OF THESE CHARACTERS. I think that these characters would have been much easier to connect with if the author had of written this series in duel POV. The series is all in her POV and if we could have had both we would understand what he saw in her that he didn’t in the many many other beautiful women he had been slept with. We also would have understood what was going through his head and been able to connect with him despite his extremely aloof dominant personality.I saw this book as an ad I think? I can’t remember. Anyway the blurb I got was something like, after catching her fiancé with another women Abbi runs to Alaska and finds herself in the arms of another man, but he’s not who she thinks he is....” Enter Henry, a 10 years older man, a very big boss, a little kinky, a little dominating... You get where I'm going. The FMC was too ordinary and bland- she didn’t appear to have any personally attributes to justify why this gorgeous billionaire, with major commitment issues, would make her the first woman he slept with more than a couple times. In the first two books, their relationship was very surface level and no emotional bonding or special moments happened other than enjoying the sex and her beauty. As for being able to connect with the MMC, he spent the first two books being so emotionally cold and flip floppy I was mentally preparing myself not to get attached to his character in case he turned out to be the bad guy using her for sex and not her real end game man.
