About this deal

We have a hover crib for Grogu and the ride-on droid transport trailer. A lot of the items allow for interaction and play with minifigures, with some builds belonging to a sub group in the calendar. There’s a lot of opportunity to create your own little stories with the builds.

All in all, I’m pretty happy with Day 4 despite already having a similar Luke Skywalker minifigure, mostly because Poe Dameron has some minifigure company! A new snow has fallen. Carolers sing outside your window. You cozy up by the fireplace, cup of hot cocoa in hand. Quite happy, even if this is a bit of a less popular vehicle, but the great design more than makes up for the slightly obscure vehicle.

And that’s it for Day 18! Many Original Trilogy fans will be delighted to get a Snowspeeder, but I do wish they would’ve upsized it to the same level of complexity as the X-Wing and Millennium Falcon models. And that’s it for Day 17 – The Imperial Light Cruiser is a solid micro build, and I’m chuffed to get such a great version, even if the scale is a little small compared to the other builds (Tie Fighter get launched out of the gap for reference), but it’s still super cute in its own way.

The 2020 Star Wars Advent Calendar continues to deliver, and Day 3 is no exception with a delightful rendition of Lars Homestead from Tattooine, home of the Lars family that raised Luke Skywalker. The Mandalorian has been a rich series, introducing new characters and re-introducing popular characters from the Original Trilogy, and even Clone Wars, but outside of Baby Yoda and Mando, I feel like it’s a wasted opportunity to not include some more memorable characters, especially female characters like Bo Katan, Cara Dune, or even Ahsoka Tano. Whoa, I did not see this one coming! Day 15 of the 2020 Star Wars Advent Calendar gives us a Droid Control Ship, a massive Battleship used by the Trade Federation, featured especially in The Phantom Menace! Hopefully 2021 will be a better year, and hopefully the 2021 Star Wars Advent Calendar will be even better! I’d love to see some Mandalorian figures next year, we’ve never had a Han Solo, maybe a festive Boba Fett or a Santa Emperor Palpatine. Any of those would be awesome. It’s always a good day to see a familiar ship, and I really like how clean this year’s X-Wing looks like, even if it is very very similar to the 2020 mini X-Wing.This was my first Star Wars advent calendar. I would have been completely lost without you telling me what I just assembled. I almost came to believe that having everything pictured on the box was a good thing, because it at least gave me a fighting chance to assemble it properly. For me, this one is pretty much going to be a big pile o’ parts, but I still am interested in what real fans think of the Lego builds. As it’s inspired by an Armoured Personnel Carrier, it gives off a bulky, and heavily armoured look. There is a small cannon on the roof, and I like the clever use of the elements to give the model some textural details across its body. Tony Stark – This iconic superhero is a must have in any Marvel fan’s collection. This minifigure portrays Tony Stark in a Christmas sweater jeweled with festive patterns and the Arc Reactor in the center. What makes this sweater more desirable is the exclusiveness of the torso which currently only exists in this set. This minifigure contains both the Iron Man helmet and Tony Stark’s hair, allowing you to interchange between the two depending on your desires!

I’m very pleased with Day 13’s Republic Cruiser – a relatively obscure but beloved original ship design from the Prequel era which should delight old school LEGO Star Wars fans, especially if you have 7665 in your collection. Razorcrest – This build one two minibuilds this year that also appeared in last year’s calendar. Last year’s build had 22 pieces. This year’s version uses 25 pieces. Most of the parts are the same between both years, with a few changed colors. Personally, I prefer last year’s model. The new one I understand why they decided to include it again in this Mandalorian-focused Advent Calendar — I just wish it was done better. I’ll never tire of expanding my Porg collection, so I’m pretty pleased with getting yet another one today. Day 1 of the 2020 Star Wars Advent Calendar starts of strong, with a fan favourite ship – the A-Wing Starfighter.

LEGO under the Christmas Tree

Jason Zapantis: This advent calendar is a first in the decade we have been doing them, as it is completely dedicated to The Mandalorian. All the days correspond with things that appear in show, with some items getting a festive touch as we have done in previous years.
