The potential for this book to become a time sink is high, but that's ok because, as a colouring book, you can drop in and out of it whenever you feel like it. And for the record, I will not be colouring every picture red (although I am tempted... so much blood has been spilled). As a huge fan of adult coloring books and Game of Thrones, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this! The book has the same lush elegance I have found in the cinematography of the series. Both my husband and I have our own copies so we can each enjoy coloring the wide variety of designs. I think it is an excellent coloring book for fans of the series while at the same time equally great for others who don't watch the series but like the fantasy aspect and the elegant artwork. (das Seefeuer) Das hätte ich mir eine kleine farbige Beispielszeichnung gewünscht. Die hätte eigentlich auch gut noch auf die Textseite gepasst. So ist man ganz auf seine eigene Fantasie angewiesen. Je nachdem wie viel man davon hat, wird einem das Auswählen der Farben und das Setzen von Schattierungen dann mehr oder weniger leicht fallen.The subjects of the designs are noted on the far left and right margins, so if you don't recall who/what, it is there to remind you. The designs themselves are quite detailed and have many intricate and small areas to color. Because of this detail and intricacy, it is not a book that I would recommend to anyone with fine motor or vision issues.

The art is lovely. The artwork looks to be based off of the book series rather than the HBO series, which I wanted. This is the problem that I have with the very movie-oriented Harry Potter coloring book. There are many different categories of pictures from all over The Seven Kingdoms and beyond The Wall. There are character drawings: Cersei, Sansa, Loras, The Red Woman, Daario, Varys, Coldhands, Children of the Forest, Khal Drogo (presumably because of his braid), Giants and armies. There are also crests, banquets, weapons, direwolves, castles and strongholds. The details in most of these pictures are fantastic but a few are a little more crude than I'd like (such as Winterfell).
