The North American release of the OVA was later licensed by Bandai Entertainment, and was released in a subbed-only DVD on August 4, 2009. The anime was licensed in North America by Kadokawa Pictures and distributed by Bandai Entertainment; six DVDs have been released between May 2008 and March 2009.Kadokawa Shoten also released a Life simulation game for the PlayStation Portable titled Lucky Star: Net Idol Meister on December 24, 2009, exclusively in Japan. He thinks Yukimura is good-looking and uncool, but in fact he is easy to talk to and a nice guy, and Fukumoto ends up getting drunk and stoned. With Prose being absent in manga, I have no choice, I would say, but to think a little more of Character ("Vibe" is still a greater focus, even without guidance by Prose), and thus I am more inclined to pigeonhole 2Dqts into archetypes and niches and praise their construction accordingly, knowing full well how "weird" it is, and, worse, how "plebeian.If you read the author comments you would see he acknowledges that the characters changed over time. Maybe it's because this is only the first volume, but I found the characters to be a bit underdeveloped to the point that some of the humor was falling flat to me.
