I love that King of Immortal Tithe was it’s own story while still being a part of the Darkmourn universe, it was really cool to hear Arlo’s thoughts about the vampire plague and learn about how much things have changed in the large span of time since the end of Lord of Eternal Night. So many questions I had were left unanswered or things just didn’t make sense plot wise for the political aspects here. I liked the fact that Arlo had a disease that was going to kill him, it made the immortal/mortal trope more interesting (though I will say, his disease was overused throughout the novel.The pacing of the plot was bizarre and the ending felt like a jumble of things happened at once without me really understanding what was happening. I believe this was my first book with elves so I was more nervous as to whether I would like it or not but my worries melted away as I kept reading. NOTE: other restrictions can be a result of our security platform detecting potential malicious activity. Ben lives in Oxfordshire and, when not writing, can be found reading, taking Winston - his Labrador - out for long walks, or obsessing over Marvel’s The Scarlet Witch. This jarred me so badly that I had to go back and make sure that I didn't miss a portion of the book.

Just showing my support and thanking Ben for writing such an amazing book, while helping me to improve my Vocabulary! It should have been a little less pointless descriptions and trying too hard to be a legit fantasy and more of improving the building of the emotional climaxes and the quality of the sex scenes (I'm usually not looking into that much but since I'm at it, why not mention this too). But it also leads to a fundamental problem in the romance arc: Are these two people forming a unique connection…or would they feel this way about literally anybody?Arlo finds himself tangled in a web of secrecy, family politics and unbridled magic when he comes face to face with the impending doom… his truth.

Ben Anderson has a wonderful way of crafting a world that is full of exceptional characters and fascinating plots. Todo pasa varios años después del final de Lord of Eternal Night, los mundos están conectados, y sí, vemos más de Jak y Marius. In defiance, before the lord of death can prick his sister, he reaches out and grabs Faenirs arm… what’s this? Just like how Arlo turning into a vampire was an easy out for him not being immortal, or semi-immortal. While I was still figuring out how this could end, I got a face slapped with the answer in the most surprising way.It is a nice stand alone, MM fantasy retelling based on Hades and Persephone; although it does tie into LoEN nicely.
