About this deal

Nemaslug can be applied any time when slugs are present as long as the soil temperature is 5oC (40oF) (this is also when plants start to grow). Nemaslug will kill snails, and many retailers sell it for that purpose, however Nemaslug is not generally an effective snail treatment due to the snail lifecycle. Nemaslug® works at temperatures above 5c/40f, so apply UNDERGLASS all year round OR apply OUTDOORS during the growing season i. I tend my garden, plant expensive plants and pretty flowers and then overnight a slimy army comes along and munches away on my very expensive plant buffet. These green wonders shoot up, not out, saving space while promising a harvest that could make any green thumb boast.

Within a few days of the product being used I have noticed signs that slugs activity is slowing down. Nemaslug works at temps above 5c/40f, so apply UNDERGLASS all year round OR apply OUTDOORS during the growing season. Each application of Nemaslug controls slugs for 6 weeks, so for a slug free garden, re-apply each 6 weeks. The nematode used in Nemaslug is a mollusc killer however, nematodes live under the soil and snails tend to stay on the surface, so they don’t come into contact very often.

If you have an allotment or garden and grow your own food, then potatoes will probably be one of your bigger crops as it is our staple food.

They can generally be easily spotted, and you will probably be aware of them if you have an infestation. Infestations are less serious in dry weather but tend to become a problem during prolonged rainy weather. If you are after a pellet pesticide to target slug infestations take a look at Advanced Slug Killer or Sluxx. You can go to sleep that night and see that your brassicas have been torn to shreds by hungry slugs who have been feasting all night.

Unlike some controls, Nemaslug continues to work well during wet weather - exactly when you need protection against slugs! Slugs come in many shapes and sizes and are commonplace around the garden, particularly in damp conditions.

They like that their plants were safe and they didn't have to remove the horrible slimy shrews from them. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. In doing so, a pellet of bacteria is released that begins to multiply spreading through the host body. Thanks for the message and there as some species of nematodes that in lab conditions may affect bees (there are hundreds of species of nematodes) but the ones used in Nemaslug have not been shown to have any effect and are safe for bees. Regularily applying Nemaslug every six weeks is the best way to keep slugs at bay throughout the growing season.

The treatment only lasts 6 weeks, and to be really effective you have to make sure the product is used before the stated date.As the nematodes invade the slug, it will stop feeding, so your plants are safe and will burrow underground to die.
