Then apply the Directions tint sparingly and portionwise to towel-dried hair with a comb or brush and comb in. Application: Shampoo the hair well beforehand, wash out and, if necessary, use a herbal rinse to lower the pH value. Colours in the tub/bottle are not necessarily an indication of the final hair colour and the dyes can vary slightly between batches, therefore dye results cannot be guaranteed. Obviously, not all of it will be removed but I have found that toothpaste works amazingly with removing bright stains.

This luxurious colour creates the most vibrant results on bleached hair, but can be used to tint lighter unbleached hair too. When applying the dye, I would reccomend to coat the face, neck and the top of the back in vaseline as it makes it easier to wash off after dying the hair. After leaving the dye to process for 15-30 minutes, thoroughly rinse your hair to reveal your deep velvet look. I've used it on my natural colour hair (light brown) and bleached hair and the colours are just as nice on unbleached hair but obviously darker and not quite as vibrant.I used this dye on top of the faded dark colour, without bleaching and the result is gorgeously vibrant - a deep burgundy cherry red, more noticeable at the roots but definitely purply red throughout with lovely glints in the sunshine and under indoor lighting. Then wait: You'll want to leave directions hair dye on for between 15 and 30 minutes to develop, rush it and you might not get as bright a colour, leave it too long and it may come out darker or a different shade.

On light brown or blonde hair, you can enjoy bolder tulip tones but for best results apply to bleached hair. I always mix Directions with a bit (OKI a lot) of conditioner at first,just to get a feel for the colour,this possibly saved my life (Joke.
