Beaune was a really pleasant trip on our way to driving up to Paris for a wedding a few years back – I recommend it (be sure to visit the Hospices; incredible place! I do use Maille or some similar grainy mustard for other purposes, but my salads with fresh vinaigrette are a big hit. By the way – I just did some rearranging in my kitchen and was able to put my iron cookbook stand on the countertop again. Are your favorites still the blue and white supermarket brand with sea salt crystals and Bordier butter (which were both spot on)?The word “Amora” is clearly meant to conjure up “amour,” the French word for love that’s appropriately passionate in this most-excellent-mustard context.

For example, Amora’s mustard comes in three different strengths: douce, mi-forte, forte - mild to strong.

But not everyone likes strong mustard and even iconic brands make a doux (mild) edition for those with more delicate palates. This may affect nutrition and allergen information therefore you should always check product labels and not rely solely on the information presented here. If you have any specific product queries or require precise ingredient information you should consult the manufacturer, whose contact details will appear on the packaging or label. On the edge of the plate, in your sandwiches, or hot, Amora products will season and enhance the flavours of your kitchen.

I will have to try it again since I really do like horseradish, and I may not have given it a chance to work for me. We use this data to help us to better understand our audiences and to improve and personalise your experience. But I’m going to do it anyway: There is nothing more French than Dijon mustard , and I dare anyone to prove me wrong. The younger one wanted to know what spices I had used and was really interested (fruit cake is foreign and exotic in France).

Unfortunately, I can’t seem to find the medium strength (“mi-forte”) Amora I enjoyed when I visited Nantes. Checking around online, some people said Grey Poupon was available there, but it’s hard to tell as you never know the source. To make my point, I’d estimate that 100% of people in France have a jar of mustard in their refrigerator or pantry.

Like many people here, I’m a Maille fan, the traditional one, not the wild flavors… and was wondering how you felt Maille differed taste-wise in comparison to Amora? With the smoke now socking in our beautiful Applegate Valley in Southern Oregon, I'm catching up on the full articles. That was about it, and it was described at the best spread the author knows for a roast beef sandwich. Recognized and appreciated for its know-how and the quality of its products, make easy, gourmet, tasty recipes and reinvent your dishes by giving them more and more taste with Amora. But we resorted to the standard 430gr jars on this occasion as this was all that was available and we are running out of storage space!

I am addicted to Amora and ALWAYS have several bottles in my suitcase after my annual visit to France. I really starting appreciating it once I moved to France – in particular – when I visited the Edmond Fallot factory in Beaune! I like Kozlik’s Canadian mustard which I bought after tasting at the food market in Toronto their lime and also bewitching balsamic varieties.
