About this deal

HDR looks better thanks to its decent full-array local dimming feature and higher HDR brightness, so bright highlights stand out and look closer to the content creator's intent. Unfortunately, the backlight flickers at a low frequency with anything below the max backlight setting.

Sports Mode When a sports signal is detected, it switches to Sports Mode for an immersive live stadium experience, from picture to sound. The motion handling is also fairly good, aside from the inherent limitations of LCD as a display technology and the 60Hz refresh rate. From sets with different smart platforms to expensive Mini-LED sets and everything in between, there are a lot of different Hisense TVs to choose from. The 50-inch model has much better black uniformity thanks to its VA-type panel and higher native contrast. Bought to replace a 50" Sony Bravia which developed a screen fault after 4 years use (which was not expected as I have one Sony which has lasted almost 20 years). The U6G also gets significantly brighter, so it looks better in a bright room and can better overcome glare. is supported, but you have to force it either through a custom resolution on a PC or by manually setting the resolution on some game consoles. Upon receipt of your item we will provide a FOC repair including any mechanical parts, if in the unlikely event the unit is beyond economical repair we will provide a like for like replacement. There are a few minor issues with the white balance and color accuracy, especially in saturated greens and reds, but it's not noticeable. It's bright enough to handle a moderate amount of natural light, but it's a bad choice for a bright room, as it can't get bright enough to overcome glare. It's very similar to previous Google TV versions, with a slightly refined interface and a few new accessibility features.Ultra HD offers 4x more pixels than Full HD whilst HDR makes blacks darker, whites brighter and enhances contrast. Europe's busiest forums, with independent news and expert reviews, for TVs, Home Cinema, Hi-Fi, Movies, Gaming, Tech and more.

Changing the Picture Mode to 'Standard' and setting the Color Temperature to 'Medium' results in a much brighter image, reaching a peak of 315 cd/m² with a 25% window, but it's not as accurate. Dolby Vision Inspired by cinema technology, Dolby Vision HDR technology gives an astonishing brightness and contrast depth by 40 times brighter and blacks 10 times darker than standard picture. Generally, Hisense UK TVs aren’t the cheapest around, though they have competitive specs and features, but with even a modest sale, they can quickly become the default pick for a budget TV.

Finally, HDR looks significantly better on the U6G thanks to its wider color gamut, higher peak brightness, and full-array local dimming feature. There’s some blurring on fast motion like sport, and the TV lacks the necessary frame interpolation features to address this, but it handles 24p content without introducing judder, and movies retain a pleasing film-like quality. The Hisense 65A65H has an optional motion interpolation feature to improve the appearance of motion.
