When combined with existing roof space ventilation, fitting evenly spaced lap vents on both sides of the loft will fix most loft condensation problems. I’ve never found it challenging to install these vents, in fact, getting into the loft is harder than fitting the vents! However all this extra insulation means the loft area (above the insulation) is now cooler as the heat is trapped in the rooms below. I think these stats speak for themselves and I couldn’t find any issues worth reporting or investigating further.

I read majority of comments, applied all good advices shared by others - fitted them rather low, and not exactly opposite to avoid creating air tunnels (1,3,5,7,9 slots on one side and 2,4,6,8,10 on other roof side). Updated British Standards are not applied retrospectively to buildings, but if you are experiencing issues, then it's definitely worth investigating some of these measures.Job was done in about 30min, very simple, only problem was to reach the right area, so nothing to do with the product itself. F you need to go to the expense of getting a roofer to fit vent ridge it pays to make absolutely sure you have enough.
