About this deal
After reading your very through review I am staying with my current series 7 shaver until either it dies or Braun comes up with a major feature upgrade.
I switched from a 7 series to the 8 series and I’m totally confused with the eject button only working on one side. It would be a real shame if Braun decided to completely axe the old Series 7 just to push the new ones.I do appreciate the fact that with the release of this shaver, Braun fixed some of the problems of the Series 7 — a simple, more intuitive and useful battery display, a better head locking mechanism that won’t break and finally, a travel lock.
Sonic Technology delivers micro-vibrations so the electric razor head can glide across your skin while shaving. I used it mostly dry, sometimes along with a splash of Speick pre-shave lotion to reduce the dampness of my skin on those hot and humid days. From a purely visual standpoint, the new series definitely exhibits Braun’s current design language that we first saw with the Series 5 and Series 9.While this won’t be a detailed review of the Series 8 performance, I will briefly go over the most important aspects. I don’t want to have to use the cleaning station to charge it as I travel and do not want to lug the cleaning station with me. A comfortable shave is usually taken for granted with Braun electric razors, especially with their mid-range models and up. This is in my opinion one of the most important features of the Series 8 8370cc and a clear improvement over most electric razors out there. Coming from 3 rotary razors, it was actually very likely that you would see a (significant) jump in closeness and comfort.
