You can monitor a mouse's charging status with the Logitech Gaming Software, although you won't really have to.

It looks quite a bit like Razer and Corsair’s recent RGB mousepads—a semi-stiff piece of plastic, measuring approximately 12×13 inches, with a thicker hub in the upper-left corner where the USB cable connects to your computer.
