It is a "general" book but has facts in it and also gives an idea of how ordinary people lived, worked, dressed, and thought. The company went from strength to strength and in 1961 decided to concentrate on producing the popular children’s books. Each beautifully illustrated book features the first new illustrations produced in the original Ladybird style for nearly forty years.
