The fragrance contains notes of red currant, bergamot, rose, jasmine sambac, ambroxan, moss and tonka bean. And then the florals come in and suddenly I'm having a Valentine's Day picnic with berry tarts and wine near some dark red rose bushes.

The fragrance contains top notes of Red Currant and Bergamot; middle notes of Rose and Jasmine Sambac; and base notes of Abroxan, Moss and Tonka Bean.

I can see what happened the first time I tested this, I sniffed it too quickly and went noseblind to the ambroxan.I think I can smell a bit of it here (the ambery note I'm getting), but it's possible there's more going on that I'm missing.

This was a blind grab (always risky), but I had a strong feeling I’d enjoy the combination of ambroxan and rose.It smells like an actual snack and considering most of my pleasant smell associations are food related, I'm heavily considering adding a bottle to my shelf. I am definitely picking up on the bright, slightly sweet/tart red currant which I love, and absolutely the moss. From the first swatch on the skin, you can pick up the rose immediately, and though it remains in its drydown, it doesn't overpower. Maybe the sweetness I'm detecting here is the tonka, as that element grows stronger and less candy-ish as time goess on, but it's a bit more of a sweeter, vanillic tonka than many of the tonka notes I've smelled before.

So happy to see it was red currant, much more fruity currant with out that cassis black currant “cat urine” smell.
