Detective: City of Angels is an epic narrative-driven board game set in the dark and violent world of 1940s Los Angeles. Each detective will now receive an investigation sheet that they will fill out with their suspects on the left side going down and lettered case cards going across the top.Not only will they test your mystery-solving skills to the utmost, each case features new mechanics, new types of cards, and new solve requirements. Challenge incorrectly, however, and you'll end up taking on stress tokens, which can shorten the amount of time you have to solve a case. Each detective will hand the Chisel a leverage token that the Chisel will place on their Chisel board.

Players can spend actions on their turn to gain ‘scratch’ or claim a hefty kickback from the mob if they’re at the right location. The player to the Chisel's left will gain 4 scratch, second player 5, third 6, and the last player will get 9 scratch.In the Classic mode where one player is the Chisel and everyone else is a Detective is fantastic fun. The reason being is the Chisel is pretty much acting like a Gamemaster and is just making sure everyone is having a good time. Snitch- A Detective can spend three scratch during another player's turn to listen in on the question being asked. There’s nothing else quite like it, and the simple but effective rules will appeal to both new and experienced board gamers alike.
