About this deal

The Apollo XT Electronic Fuel Tank Contents Gauge allows you to measure the level of fuel in your tank from the warmth, comfort and convenience of your home. If your fuel gauge has not moved the last few times you have checked it and you know you have had your heating on, there is a chance the gauge might be faulty. The level when you should refill your oil tank, firstly depends on the size of your oil tank, most common domestic sizes range from 1000 to 2500 litres. All of the information entered on this site is encrypted before it is transmitted between your computer and ours. Like smart home readers for gas and electricity, heating oil tanks can now be fitted with digital monitoring systems that remotely monitor heating oil levels.

For oil tanks with a nominal capacity of 3,500 litres or greater please contact your local Building Control Officer or OFTEC.Where these clearances cannot be achieved, the measures noted in British Standard BS5410 and OFTEC Technical Instruction Book 3 must be provided i.

Furthermore, we gave the float gauge 2 out of 5 points for ‘remote access’ because some folks install WiFi cameras to look at the float gauge remotely. To check the oil tank gauge is working on a float gauge, unscrew the plastic dome covering and gently nudge the rod downward, then let go. And the nice thing about the Smart Oil Gauge is that you can still keep the old float gauge in the oil tank. Rub a little water finding paste onto the bottom of the dipstick, lower it into the tank and watch for the paste to change colour.A dipstick is the most common manual method of checking how much oil is left in your fuel tank in the UK. These provide a good estimate of how much oil you have left in your tank and are useful for letting you know when you may need more.

If you’re using a float gauge, it's a good idea to set a regular day to check your tank's oil level to avoid running out of oil.
