About this deal

I think part of the reason this was never addressed is because we spent SO MUCH time on Weston flashbacks, especially considering he isn't even the protagonist. How would I adapt and eventually come to feel gratitude for the things I still have, instead of focusing on what I’ve lost? I'm talking about things like her overly nasty attitude at the beginning, her mother (that could've been interesting to work into her character development, but it seemed more like an effort to make her family seem unconventional), and her strange comments about holding Weston's hand being "inappropriate" (I know this is a sweet little YA novel, but.

And for some reason, I kept picturing his character as Joshua Basset (except with no legs) the whole time. It's filled with moments that tug your heart, get you to hold your breathe, and also laugh out loud! I can honestly say that I've never read a book as hopeful as 100 Days of Sunlight, and that is without a doubt my favorite thing about it. The story is beautiful and inspiring and has a perfect optimism that even when times are dark, it's your outlook on the world as well as the people that love you that can make those times brighter. I should also mention that none of my negative criticism is intended as an insult toward Abbie herself.

When Tessa's grandparents place an ad for someone to come and help Tessa maintain her poetry blog while she is without her sight, amputee Weston decides that he just might be the right person for the job.

He sticks around because Tessa treats him like an able-bodied person instead of treating him like he's fragile now because he's disabled. Bringing you back to a time when you first felt that fleeting rush of butterflies and adrenaline and transporting you into another world. It would have been more realistic to ask for someone to help her navigate the net and upload to her blog, this would probably require a bit of training-although all screen readers have in built training and a lot of it is fairly easy to pick up.I’d like to touch on the cons first so that I can end this review positively; I've got three pages of notes and they’re all over the place, so buckle up.

And because she can’t see him, she treats him with contempt: screaming at him to get out of her house and never come back. You can tell Abbie has put her years of experience writing into this, along with some pieces of herself. Maybe it was my one-star experience there that turned me off, or maybe I just got tired of seeing the same old problems in books written for that age group.
