I don't rate the lenght stop for anything critical, I tried it with some 2x4 and it had too much springiness (this may be because my saww is very large and the depth stops need adjusting quite high out of the telescopic tube, it may be better with say a 250 saw. It has a trolley function which allows easy transportation of the attached mitre saw around the jobsite. The Makita DEAWST05 universal mitre saw stand is pre drilled to accept most Makita mitre saws but can also be easily adjusted for other makes. Alternatively, you can speed the process up by taking the tool to your nearest approved Makita Area Service Agent.

There is manufacturer warranty for this product which covers all manufacturing defects for the normal lifetime of the tool but does not cover wear and tear or damaged cause by misuse. You have to bolt your saw to it semi permanently to get the best out of it and with the saw on its heavy so lifting it in and out of a van safely will take two people and the wheels are sturdy but not suitable for dragging round building sites and up and down stairs.
