About this deal

If you look into what is in some of the favoured cleaning products used on here (Daisy etc) I think that you'll find that they contain salt, just like Fairy Liquid does. Apart from not needing to dry the car, the depth of gloss achieved after just one coat of sealant is amazing. Are you proposing to install multiple water softeners in the house to only selectively soften the water? Accessories: Water Hardness Meter so you can test the water to see when resin needs replacing, and replacement resin in 7 litre or 25 litre bags.

The paint finish takes on an entirely new finish … it’s like someone has covered the car in a layer of glass. I’d never used a water filter on my car before but it’s one of those things from which I’ll never go back.As others have said, it makes all the difference in washing the car – the avoidance of water marks and the consequent time saving make a huge difference.

Although the spots that form on cars because of high TDS levels are easier to remove than the limescale formation caused by hard water minerals, you might still want to eliminate them for that extra clean look. I had a separate spigot for drinking water when the softener was first installed - the jury was out on the drinking of softened water (although at least one person on here professes to drink it quite happily). Although those stains don’t cause any permanent damage, they’re not easy to scrub off, nor do they look good. This is a breakthrough in filtered water product for car washing that is proving to be very popular. So the filter was delivered today, hottest day of the year so far, thought I’d give it a whirl on my jet black focus…. I feel its only fair to give this product a well deserved favourable review and I would recommend it to anyone. Water Softeners change dissolved hardness into dissolved sodium bicarbonate which removes limescale.

If you want pure-filtered water to give your vehicle a final dry-free rinse then this is the kit to use. However, never mix the washing soda with vinegar, which is another item commonly used for softening water. Used the filter this weekend to wash and rinse completely all the motorhome at once left it to dry excellent perfect finish no water spots or streaking, completed the job in less half the time, used to take almost six hours. In real terms this rule is rarely adhered to however, but does give a good guideline to the effectiveness if individual units. Please note that water treated with Polyphosphate can be heated up to a max temperature of 75-80°C beyond that temperature the media gradually loses its efficacy. The new hose bib was for washing cars and the existing hose bib, which was just after the meter, remained untreated and used for irrigation. The short answer is probably because a water softener may not be able to remove the mineral content that is causing the formation of water spots. Even though I had read all the great reviews I was still sceptical especially as we are in a very hard water area in rural Essex.

We are doing an install and setting it up this way and think the only downfall is using a lot more salt but overall a better wash, whats everyones thoughts on this? Additionally, soaps and detergents don’t lather well in hard water, so their effectiveness is reduced. Reduces equipment maintenance cost - Purified quality helps extend the life of other washing equipment, resulting in longer periods of time between maintenance checks.Using a high quality filtration resin the AquaHouse DI filter removes hardness minerals and particles from the water which would otherwise leave watermarks after drying.
