About this deal

There are sound excerpts from various songs, accompanied by still photos, clips of television appearances, footage from inside recording sessions, film footage from their final photo session, and material from the five Beatles films A Hard Day's Night, Help! The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill - appears as it does on The Beatles ("white album"), minus the opening guitar obbligato. It is the second complete box set collection of original Beatles recordings after The Beatles Box Set (1988).

Additionally, the release dates of the super deluxe editions of John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band and All Things Must Pass were delayed until April 2021 and August 2021 respectively. The flip-back sleeves are missing for the UK 1st release covers (but would later included on The Beatles - The Beatles In Mono in 2014) and Let It Be is missing it's original box or "Get Back" book. Two other songs in the Beatles' catalogue which also appear in mono on the stereo CDs are " Only a Northern Song" and " You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)". They have different EQ choices, are cleaner sounding, more bass than what the original pressings did and Help! The rare versions included (see note from anygreg) make this an interesting listen even for hardcore fans. If you grew-up hearing the old analogue pressings, the 2012 pressings sound night-and-day different to the previous UK catalogue pressings. Although the practice had stopped by the time of the release of the "She Loves You" single, and although it is possible that the master tapes were in EMI's possession in January 1964, when the German language version was recorded, it is commonly believed that those tapes were either stolen or destroyed. While not a sonic recreation of the original 1960's pressings, it's clear that the Abbey Road team wanted to represent the sound of 2009 Digital Remasters on vinyl.

A bonus disc on the new expanded, remixed and remastered box set of 1966’s Revolver offers an even more transformative experience: a jaw-dropping sequence of Yellow Submarine work tapes traces the song’s evolution from a fragile, sad wisp sung by John Lennon to its later iteration as a Ringo Starr-directed psych-pop goof.

On the Japanese Oricon weekly album charts, it debuted at number 6, selling over 35,000 copies in its first week. Abbey Road: 50th Anniversary Edition is an expanded reissue of the 1969 album Abbey Road by the English rock band the Beatles. A new Stereo Box, containing remastered versions of the Beatles' core albums and Past Masters, was released on 9 September 2009 along with The Beatles in Mono and new stereo reissues of the individual albums, including the first four albums given their stereo debuts on CD.

You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)" is the only track left in the Beatles' catalogue of which the original edit has never received a stereo mix despite the multi-tracks being available. On 12 November 2012, the set was released on 180-gram vinyl, specially prepared for vinyl, with a 252-page book included. Beatles' 'Let It Be' Deluxe Editions Set for October, Preceding Peter Jackson's Documentary Series". and Yellow Submarine Songtrack have also received re-releases akin to the presentation of the 2009 remasters. It should also be noted that due to the huge roll out (at the beginning of the vinyl revival) were a lot of quality control reports during the first release of the US pressings ( The Beatles - The Beatles) from Rainbo Records. It was the practice at Abbey Road Studios prior to early 1963 to wipe and reuse master tapes once they had been mixed down to mono for single release.

The collection was encased in a black oak roll-top box and included a soft-cover book with commentary on the songs by Beatles recording historian Mark Lewisohn. A Lennon home demo of She Said She Said with a tweaked melody is stormier, while a more ascetic Here, There and Everywhere feels like the narrator is pining after someone unattainable. Revolver is the sound of them striving and laying the groundwork for even more ambitious music to come. Magical Mystery Tour is presented in the sequence and artwork of its original North American Capitol Records album release, as opposed to the UK six-song EP. Especially with the various odd versions included and I believe the only time The Beatles allowed their songs to be available on anything other than the usual pressings bar the MFP pressings.

Although all these albums had been previously available in stereo on both LP and cassette, the versions of the first four albums included in The Beatles Box Set were the digitally remastered mono mixes issued on CD over 1987–88, [2] which caused a considerable furor among Beatles fans and audiophiles. The Beatles Box Set included all of the original UK album releases by the band, together with the 1967 US album Magical Mystery Tour. Let It Be: Special Edition is an expanded reissue of the original 1970 album by the English rock band the Beatles. While Revolver doesn’t necessarily have the kaleidoscopic depths of the 2017 remix of Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, that’s no slight. This was the last Beatles release issued during John Lennon's lifetime before his murder the following month.
