About this deal

Stormvermin are evidence of a centralised power in skavendom, the council of 13. They are trained killers from a young age apart of a elite fighting force responsible for protecting warlords, grey seers and their assets…To someone who knows little to nothing about the skaven it’s easy to assume a mad max world when it’s more like the hunger games with a small number of highly trained and technologically advanced skaven. The Skaven of Mors are uncharacteristically united as one, and exhibit a loyalty to their leaders unheard of in Skaven society. Even those Skaven who have been conscripted into Mors from less fortunate clans are soon heard voicing praises to Gnawdwell and his staff. None are certain if this loyalty is a result of sorcery most foul, as of yet undiscovered drugs, or the product of something else that has yet to be discovered. [1a] Their Warp Lightning Cannon artillery unit can be one of the most powerful ranged weapons in the entire game. Be warned, though: when playing Skaven, you should always bear in mind that everything comes with a risk. Overcharge this cannon before firing, and you’ll get 12 chances to inflict mortal wounds on your target, however, each ‘1’ you roll will see the cannon receive D3 mortal wounds. Half the time you’ll see your opponent become a smoking crater, the other half of the time you’ll curse the dice gods as your Warp Lightning Cannon blinks out of existence; that’s simply the way with Skaven. With Enhanced Power and Weight of Fire (power based on clip size) three critical shots (delivered via the burst shot) will kill Stormvermin, Maulers, Armor Specials and Infantry Specials. I know this guide is late but its useful for people that are still wanting to attempt and/or finish the push.

Beam StaffWhen damaging bosses, hold the beam on them. When fighting hordes, holding the beam does minimal damage. Use shotgun mode to kill hordes. The fade on the ghostly areas was created with an airbrush. I built up the effect with several thin coats of pure Coelia Greenshade, concentrating on the lower parts of the ghostly robes. If you don’t have an airbrush, I recommend several glazes of Incubi Darkness thinned down heavily with water. Glazing with shades can often leave a blotchy finish. You could also skip this stage to speed up the process. Level 10: Virtue: Knightly Temper (Crits instantly kill) outclasses the other options at this level because it helps in the following three situations: Before getting close to them, Stormvermin often stand guard: being completely still with their head pointed upward. This allows for an easy head-shot, but be careful as the Stormvermin sometimes rotates his head. The Verminguard - The predecessors to the Albino Stormvermin as guardians of the Council of Thirteen. Lastly, after working through the numbers I verify my theories by playing lots of games as Grail Knight. Using different combinations of weapons and talents, I see how effective different combinations feel in game. This lets me see if there are aspects I under or overvalued. As for those buffs I mentioned, the table is very different now. Instead of 2d6, you just roll 1d6. This means that all buffs are equally possible to roll but it also means…they’re all equally possible to roll. Definitely leaning in more on the Skaven’s randomness. The buffs include: WARNING - the following is a vaguely ambiguous description of one’s man take on rat people who wear full metal armour

Warlord Skree - Warlord of Clan Mors' Second Fang, a retinue of Clanrats, Ratling Guns, Poisoned Wind Mortars, and Stormvermin. [4b]I applied a fine edge highlight of thinned VMC White [ White Scar] to all the ghostly parts. This enhances the highlights created by the white drybrush from step 6 and adds a lot of definition. It’s an optional step, you could do it only for your characters or concentrate on focus points like face and hands only to save some time.

GW's new range matches with the old range are the matches claimed by GW. However, many of the paints do not match very closely at all and some mixing will be required to get close to the original colours. If you are trying to match old GW with new GW, you'd be better just getting Vallejo game color or coat d'arms for the closest match ) It took a fierce Skaven to survive the underground slaughterways of the City of Pillars. To join the most elite claw-units of all Clan Mors, a Skaven had to possess extraordinary strength, agility and martial prowess. Queek Headtaker personally took part in the selection and training of his elite Red Guard Stormvermin. He kept ten claws of these troops, each a hundred strong, as his personal force of bodyguards. They were given the best arms, armour and feeding right of all the troops under his command. In battle, the Red Guard serve dutifully well as Queek's honour guard, or as the spiked fist of his assault force. [1a] Infamous Red Guard Members [ ] I built up the flame effect with a thinned coat of VGC Livery Green [ Moot Green with a bit of white] and then Scorpy Green [ Moot Green], leaving the recesses white. Like any of the Lesser Clans, Mors covets a place amongst the Great Clans. Warlord Gnawdwell has made it very clear that he believes he is the one to lead all Skaven to their inevitable victory over the surface world and its furless inhabitants. Given his continued success and prowess in battle, perhaps he is correct. The other clans are hesitant to accede to his call for an invasion of the world above, citing that the time is not yet ripe for another invasion. Gnawdwell dismisses such reasons as pitiful excuses, but he is hesitant to throw away his recently gained ascension to the Council of Thirteen. So he bides his time until his place is somewhat stronger in the Council. He is instead content to rest on his laurels for the time being, basking in the plentiful adoration of his troops. [1a]Like clanrats, these guys got their save integrated into the warscroll, starting them at a base of 4+. To differentiate them from just being better clan rats, they now get a 4+ Bodyguard rule, 2+ if the Hero is clan Verminus. Pretty great, honestly! Skaven lists frequently require a lot of very vulnerable, low wound Heroes to succeed so having a cheap and easily accessible bodyguard will go a long way in protecting them from shooting. Thaxx Redclaw - The de facto ruler of the City of Pillars whenever Queek was away during the End Times. He was a traitor, as his true loyalties were to Clan Skryre. For this, Queek would later murder him. [4a]
