About this deal

Of course, this flexibility has its limits, but it is large enough to give even a little joy to listen to each of such extremely different genres of music as reggae or rock.

If you have experience with the overall sound quality of this DAC I'd appreciate hearing your reviews. It has garnered a reputation for its affordability and solid performance, making it an excellent pick for many audio enthusiasts. The more expensive Plus boasts a more sophisticated implementation and upsampling but, for me at least, that didn’t translate into a better sound. Personally, this aspect is very bothering me and despite many advantages over the previous converter (E-MU), I feel quite unsatisfied, which makes me unable to forget my previous DAC.

For this variant I decided to check what changes will bring different capacity of Mundorf Mcap capacitors .

Over the years, Cambridge has garnered a sea of trophies from various international reviewers, and their latest product series AX, CX2 and EDGE are no exception.

In truth, the distortions introduced by a capacitor with a specific polarization are quite interesting. It really ruined me for my Denon receiver and I found playing music in the living room through the Polk speakers not as enjoyable. Interestingly, the sockets I exchanged only in the DAC side, while the sockets on the amplifier side were not replaced, and yet there is improvement. For those seeking a more budget-friendly yet impressive combo amp/DAC solution, the FiiO K5 Pro is a compelling choice.
